Stunning Merrydale Manor wedding photography, Cheshire
Kayleigh and Craig’s wedding at Merrydale Manor had everything I love- an incredible venue, classic style, and a couple totally in the moment, soaking it all in.
Set in the Cheshire countryside near Knutsford, this place is total a gem. From the long driveway to the lakeside views and the gorgeous manor house itself, it’s got photo spots galore. I also couldn’t help being pretty giddy after finding out that not long before Kayleigh and Craig’s wedding day, England Lioness Chloe Kelly got married here!
It’s understandable that a celebrity might choose Merrydale Manor - the place exudes elegance and exclusivity from the second you hit the driveway.

I am personally slightly obsessed with the prep space at Merrydale Manor - taking place in the manor house itself, there’s tons of natural light, lots of room to move, and a really calm, happy energy. Whilst wedding prep space might not be at the top of the list of priorities when planning a wedding, it’s transformational to the experience (and photographs) when there’s a good atmosphere, great lighting and time and space to slow down a bit and really take in those quiet morning moments.
Kayleigh and Craig’s wedding had a black tie theme, and the whole wedding party was the epitome of class from stunning black bridesmaid dresses to the most dapper groomsmen in their black suits. The effortless elegance worked so well with the backdrop of Merrydale Manor.

August delivered its usual mix of weather, with plenty of cloud, a bit of rain, and the occasional burst of sun when we needed it most. The clouds gave us gorgeous soft light, and the many nooks and crannies of the venue grounds gave us so many opportunities for beautiful photographs. The piece de resistance has to be the beautiful lake with its fountain and jetty!
This whole day was stunning. Kayleigh and Craig were all in, and their loved ones were just so happy to be there celebrating their big day with them. From start to finish, it was full of good people, good energy, and so many gorgeous genuine moments. It’s fair to say that I left this wedding with a big smile on my face!
Why I love Merrydale Manor
Merrydale Manor is a dream to shoot at. It’s big enough that everything feels spacious and relaxed, but not so big that it’s overwhelming. The grounds are stunning, and the indoor spaces are just as good as the outside (very handy when the weather turns!).
If you’re planning a black tie wedding in Cheshire (or you’re on the hunt for a venue with a bit of wow-factor), definitely give Merrydale Manor a look. And if you’re after relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography that captures the feeling of the day, I’d love to chat!
