Maisie and Henry’s wedding day at The River Barn in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, was an absolute dream for a wedding photographer. This couple were just so sweet, with the kindest (and best dressed) wedding guests. The River Barn is also such a magical wedding venue - I fell in love with it from the second I set foot through the door!

A historical riverside wedding venue

Steeped in history, The River Barn is made up of the Tudor Manor House (built in 1536), a stunning modern barn extension and absolutely beautiful grounds nestled alongside the River Wyre. Bride Maisie got ready on site in the manor house with her family, before joining groom Henry and their wedding guests in the barn space for their elegant wedding ceremony.

Despite a very rainy start to the day, the super classy bar area at The River Barn was the perfect spot for a relaxed indoor drinks reception before the clouds cleared and we were able to head outside for confetti and wedding portraits in the beautiful grounds. Photographing Maisie and Henry was such a joy, with their easygoing attitude, plentiful laughter and very evident love for one another!

As the sun came out, bride, groom and their guests were able to enjoy a sun-soaked and super toasty afternoon of drinks, chat and garden games before a cracking evening reception with a live band.
