Stunning black tie wedding at Wyresdale Park, Preston

After years of dreaming of photographing a wedding at this magical Lancashire venue, I can now officially call myself a Wyresdale Park wedding photographer!

Emily and Nathan got married on a beautiful early September day at the breathtaking Wyresdale Park in Preston, Lancashire. This venue truly does have it all, and with it being my first time photographing a wedding there, I was absolutely blown away by the buildings, grounds and stunning backdrop of the Trough of Bowland.

A wedding morning getting ready at Wyresdale Park

The bride and groom started their day in the dedicated prep spaces, with Emily in the elegant North Wing and Nathan taking over the Woodland Lodge. The morning vibe was super chilled, with good music, loads of smiles and a real atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

After capturing all the gorgeous groom prep details in the Lodge, I joined Emily and her bridal party for the finishing touches to her elegant bridal look. She looked absolutely radiant in her classically beautiful wedding dress, with her natural curly hair framing her face perfectly. We took some time for some chilled bridal portraits in the bridal suite, making the most of it’s lovely light and the variety of sentimental trinkets and accessories that Emily had prepared for this special moment.

Saying ‘I do’ in the Ceremony Garden

The outdoor wedding ceremony took place in the serene ceremony garden, which is possibly one of my favourite ceremony spaces I’ve worked in! A fairly new addition to the Wyresdale Park grounds, this timeless space is surrounded by traditional walls and accented with thoughtful planting and decor, making it such a special place for couples to say their vows. With perfect weather and a ton of emotion throughout, Emily and Nathan’s ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect.

There’s an absolutely abundance of space and opportunity at Wyresdale Park for every element of the day, and we opted to celebrate their confetti moment in the cobbled courtyard. A relaxed drinks reception followed with beautiful strings from Bianca Blezard.

Wedding portraits on the Wyresdale Park boating lake

The highlight of the day for me had to be the opportunity to photograph the bride and groom on the boating lake for their wedding portraits! This is something I’d always wanted to do, and Emily and Nathan absolutely smashed it (as you can see!). With support from the super kind Wyresdale Park team, we spent a serene moment soaking in the beauty of this magical tucked away spot before making use of the venues woodland interiors for more portraits.

Evening reception in the Party Barn

Wrapping up the day was an epic wedding reception, with a band and a DJ in the Party Barn. As I left Emily, Nathan and their loved ones to the rest of their evening, I could hear so much joy and love filling every nook and cranny of this wonderful venue and, as I so often do, felt so privileged to be a part of such special moments for wonderful people.
