Wedding Photography at Three Little Words in Manchester

Wedding reception venue

Three Little Words is a seriously boujie cocktail bar and wedding venue situated in Deansgate, Manchester City Centre. Boasting two gorgeous wedding spaces plus its own distillery (and that's before you even mention the INCREDIBLE local photography opportunities), Three Little Words is the perfect spot for an intimate, personal and deeply cool wedding reception. I fell in love with it from the very first time I stepped inside!

Having photographed the brilliant Ellie and Matt outside this epic venue for their wedding shoot, it's time for me to get inside! If you're looking for a photographer for your special day who knows Manchester well, loves city centre weddings, and LOVES Three Little Words (probs gunna get married there myself, genuinely) then I reckon I'm your girl.

Check out my Manchester City Centre wedding photography below, plus some handy information and tips about planning your Three Little Words and Manchester City Centre wedding!

Key info about this wedding venue

Opened in 2019, Three Little Words is nestled under the arches in Manchester's Deansgate. Comprising of a stunning cocktail bar and The Spirit of Manchester Distillery, they're expert mixologists with a venue boasting unique twists on classic cocktails, as well as some truly innovative concoctions of their own (often using their own spirits including their popular Manchester Gin). Having spent many an evening sampling the menu, I can vouch for the fact that Three Little Words' offering really is something special! As of summer 2023, you may also have come across Three Little Words at their Kampus summer residency.

Your big day

Whilst you're not able to have a legal wedding ceremony with the venue, with its sumptuous decor and frankly impeccable service, the atmosphere is incredible and makes for a truly unique place to host your wedding celebration on your special day. Think mustard velvet, banquette seating, dramatic exposed brickwork and the perfect atmospheric lighting for gorgeous wedding photos. The main space is split into the bar and lounge areas, and is available to hire for either part of the venue or the full venue (which has a seated capacity of 100). When it comes to the wedding breakfast, they offer both buffet and small plate options for catered events.

With it's brilliant Manchester City Centre location, the opportunities for wedding photographs and couple's portraits here are pretty much endless! The road outside boasts epic views of Manchester's ever changing urban landscape, with (currently) views of the Deansgate Square skyscrapers which make for a great background as you can see in these photos. The road is in regular use by motorists, but is pretty quiet by Manchester City Centre's standards, leaving plenty of time for great wedding portraits. The inside of the building is equally stunning, and you could even snag some portraits within the Manchester distillery!

If you're happy to mooch a bit, Deansgate has some brilliant spots for couples portraits, including the gorgeous frontages of the main road's stunning buildings, colourful Deansgate locks and of course, the iconic Manchester Central Library.

As for group photo locations near to this wedding venue, the front of the building is a beautiful spot in itself, and there is also the pedestrianised area of Great Northern Square at the top of Watson Street.

Other facilities at Three Little Words

As I've already mentioned, a wedding reception venue doesn't get much better situated than this. Deansgate train station is a 5-minute walk from Three Little Words' front door, Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop is less than a mile away and there's a huge NCP car park literally on the same street. You're a stones throw from the best hotels in the city, and all the shops and amenities you could wish for.

Three Little Words is situated at ground floor level, is wheelchair-accessible and has an accessible toilet.

"Oh Laura, where to even start?! From beginning to end, you gave us every confidence that we were in the best possible hands. We are so glad you photographed our wedding celebration; thank you for saying yes and being a beautiful addition to our day!"

My style and approach

My approach to weddings is to capture authentic, real moments as they happen. My main focus as your wedding photographer is the people and relationships, capturing special moments between you, your friends and family during your wedding day. I’m always on the look out for the laughs, the hugs, the kisses and the private moments that no-one else sees! You might find me hiding behind doors, crouched in corners or photographing through windows to get that perfect shot - I have been called a ‘ninja photographer’ on more than one occasion!

Creating a meaningful connection with you and your loved ones is hugely important in creating beautiful storytelling images, and I always aim to feel more like a friend and supporter than a supplier.

My unique style will provide you with beautiful wedding photographs that preserve the excitement, emotions and memories of your wedding day, and through my unobtrusive style, I will capture the story of your day naturally as it unfolds, leaving you with fun, relaxed and beautiful images that you will treasure forever.
