Falcon Manor Wedding Photography

I'm just gonna come out and say it - Laura and Will were one of the most genuinely in-love couples I've ever photographed. Of course, almost everyone is super loved up on their wedding day but this gorgeous pair were really in love! Their wedding day at the stunning Falcon Manor in North Yorkshire was so a truly classy affair, packed full of joy and good vibes, and was an absolute privilege to be a part of.

I started my day with Laura in the epic wedding suite, which has quite possibly one of my favourite bathrooms I've ever been in just FYI (it has double doors and is about the size of the master bedroom in my house). Bride Laura was super relaxed getting ready, perfecting her make up and surrounded by her family and friends, before heading down Falcon Manor's stunning staircase for a first look with her dad - the first emotional moment of many throughout the day!

Wedding ceremony at Falcon Manor

I'm pleased to say the happy tears continued through the ceremony- I'm an absolute sucker for a good happy cry, and these ceremony photos showing the sheer love and emotion that Will has towards his wife are some of my absolute favourites! Following the ceremony we made the most of a break in the changeable October weather for a quick confetti opportunity outside the grand Manor doors before heading back inside for a drinks reception in front of the fire (oh yeah, did I mention they have roaring open fire in the winter months? Dreamy).

As I mentioned, Laura and her groom Will got married in October on a blustery, rainy day. I know so many people really hate rainy days, especially on their wedding day, and I get that - but I absolutely love the rain! Falcon Manor is the perfect wedding venue for wintery weather, with it's gorgeous big windows and standout features providing tons of photo opportunities in a unique and different setting without even needing to set foot outside. Next to the ceremony room is a warm and cosy lounge area with deep soft armchairs and dramatic draped windows, which Laura, Will and I made full use of for their wedding portraits.

An intimate evening reception in the Yorkshire Dales

I left Laura and Will after their first dance, surrounded by their favourite people in the world, and slipped out into the chilly October evening. Looking back towards Falcon Manor set against the dark sky, with lights, fires and candles burning within, it really did look like the perfect place to spend a chilly autumn evening with loved ones.

Are we allowed confetti?

You are allowed to use confetti at Falcon Manor, however it must be biodegradable and use only natural colours. This is for obvious environmental and sustainability issues, but also to make sure that colours leaking from synthetic confetti don't ruin the venue's beautiful stone paving!
