The pink wedding suit of dreams. City & Colour as the first dance song. Emerald green accents. I knew this wedding day was going to be corker from the moment I spoke to brides El and Liv!
You know when you're in a beautiful venue with amazing people and the whole atmosphere feels like you're just bathing in joy? That's what El and Liv's wedding day was like. This relaxed and personal barn wedding took place at the stunning Beverley Barn, a fabulous wedding and event venue in the East Yorkshire countryside. Despite it being a super frosty East Yorkshire February day, the clear blue skies and winter sunshine lent a serene vibe to this Lancashire wedding celebration. The incredible Beverley Barn wedding venue, constant smiles, laughter and heartfelt hugs gave El & Liv's wedding day a truly magical feel.
A perfect wedding venue
The Beverley Barn opened in 2017, and served as the absolute perfect unique wedding venue for El & Liv. The staff were simply incredible (especially Flo the dog, who immediately filled the job role of New Best Mate) whilst the beautiful gardens bathed in sunlight nodded to long summer days just around the corner, and made the snuggly and relaxed barn space even more welcoming for arriving guests. El & Liv's dream wedding day started with a beautiful intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends, flanked by a super-cool wedding party in complementing green suits and dresses. Once married, we headed outside for a chilly but joyful confetti toss (with plenty of extra confetti shoved into places it shouldn't be - see below!) and bridal photos. As the wind and temperatures picked up outside, we made full use of the Beverley Barn's relaxed style and rustic interiors for group photos.

Following a delicious wedding breakfast in the main barn, El and Liv's family and friends spoke about how the couple met, swapped adorable stories about childhood and reminisced about all of the things that had led the brides to be here, together on their wedding day. As the evening drew in, the cool evening breeze and barn's fire-lit snugs invited friends and family to sit close to one another, enjoy one of the last wintry evenings of the season and make extra special memories. As I left El and Liv to their celebration, I took a moment outside the Beverley Barn doors to look in at them, seated at the top table and surrounded by their loved ones, and it was so lovely to see the brides surrounded by such joy and affection as they move into the rest of their lives together. It was one of those days that makes me feel genuinely blessed to be a wedding photographer!
